Royal Ascot is a national institution and the premier sporting and social event in the summer calendar. Each year, during the third week in June, tradition, pageantry, fashion and style come together in a glorious confection at one of the most beautiful racecourses in the country right next to Windsor Great Park. The Royal Procession starts each day’s action at around 2pm, with racing during the rest of the afternoon until the last race at around 5.30pm. The quality of the horseracing is simply outstanding with a total of nearly £4.5 million in prize money on offer over the five days and eighteen Group races, including at least one Group One (most prestigious) event each day. Come with us on Gold Cup Day (colloquially known as Ladies’ Day) and see top class thoroughbreds and world-famous jockeys competing in six races including the legendary Gold Cup, a battle of stamina and determination over two miles and four furlongs and one of the most sought after prizes in flat racing. You will also experience Royal Ascot’s unique focus on fashion and fun, and although the whole week of Royal Ascot is a fashion show like no other, it is Thursday when the designer creations and millinery masterpieces reach their zenith and the elegance of the ladies’ outfits is matched only by the flair of their hats! This tour is organised and operated by Omega Events Ltd ABTA Y590X

* The Silver Ring enclosure is an informal area of Royal Ascot, but many racegoers choose to dress up for the occasion. For a supplement of £45pp you can upgrade to a Grandstand Admission ticket. This gives access to the Lower Grandstand, lawns and Concourse, and the Parade Ring and track are both within a short walking distance. Here the dress code is more prescriptive; men are required to wear a suit, shirt and tie, and ladies must wear modest clothing with a hat, headpiece or fascinator. Very revealing clothing is not permitted; please see the Ascot Racecourse website for more detailed information. www.ascot.co.uk
Following an early morning departure from your local area, we will travel to Royal Ascot with a stop on the way at a local hotel for a brunch-time breakfast with a glass of sparkling wine. Depending on traffic, we will arrive at the racecourse at around noon in good time to enjoy the pre-race atmosphere and facilities. Your included ticket is for the Silver Ring** enclosure and here you will find lots of bars, food outlets with value-for-money cuisine, big screen TVs, live musical entertainment, seating, lawned areas – and lots of places to lay your bets! As the action begins, you will have excellent views of the Royal Procession and all the afternoon’s racing, including the Gold Cup, one of the most celebrated events in the horseracing calendar. We will depart after the final race for the return journey home. **Upgrade available - please see price includes section.
